  • The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is an evidence-based listening therapy designed to reduce sound sensitivities and improve auditory processing, behavioral state regulation, and social engagement behaviors through filtered music.

As a practical application of Polyvagal Theory, the SSP acts as a non-invasive, acoustic vagal nerve stimulator, helping to re-tune the nervous system to better support connection, collaboration, and resilience. The SSP involves listening to specially filtered music through headphones alongside a provider, in-person or remotely. Suitable for children and adults, the SSP has demonstrated benefits for individuals with trauma, anxiety, sensory processing differences and more.

  • We work with partners to address, support and strengthen relationships.

  • Mind’s Eye offers both individual and group KAP sessions. Ketamine lozenges are provided by Journey Clinical and self administered at the time of therapy.

Insurance & Pricing

We accept most Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.

No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimates

Under the law, health care providers are required to provide patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. We at Mind’s Eye Psychotherapy will work to help all clients understand the costs involved in therapy and welcome any questions or concerns.

Due to the range of mental health disorders, it is not possible to estimate the number of sessions needed since it varies with the each individual. Most clients are seen weekly and as they progress, bi-monthly. If you are coming for EMDR therapy for a single episode trauma related to a recent event, you can expect 3 to 12 sessions. Most other clients are in therapy for an average of 3 months to one year. Those with complex PTSD are often seen longer.

For those with insurance not accepted by Mind’s Eye, we charge a credit card on file at time of service. In most cases we can electronically submit a claim to your insurance company for you. Your insurance company will  reimburse you for whatever percentage of the bill that company agrees to pay for an out of network provider.  Please call the number on your insurance card to determine your out of network coverage.

Our non-insured and out of network fees are $150 for a 50-60 minute session. We charge the full fee for sessions missed without 48 hrs notice unless you and your therapist are able to reschedule within the same week. We cannot guarantee that there will be a time slot available for rescheduling.

If you are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) or Aetna PPO, we will submit billing to both for you. Plans and deductibles vary depending on your specific plan. We will receive notice from the in network payer and charge your credit card on file if you have a deductible that is not yet met or a visit co-pay. Please call the number on your card to determine if you have a deductible and visit co-pay. We charge our full contracted rate for BCBS and Aetna clients: BCBS $147 per initial visit and $130.02 for each 55-60 minute individual session. Aetna: $114.78 for an individual session. If you do not have a deductible, or it is met and you have $0 co-pay, you will not be charged. We do charge our full contracted rate for any sessions missed without 48 hrs notice unless you and your therapist are able to rescheduled to meet that same week. We do not guarantee that a time slot will be available for rescheduling.

Unfortunately, most insurance providers do not cover ketamine assisted psychotherapy. Most individual sessions are 2.5 to 3 hours and are billed at our hourly rate of $150. per hour.

After an initial assessment, we are happy to provide a treatment plan and good faith estimate in writing that addresses your specific treatment needs.
