With over 35 years of dedicated experience in the field of psychotherapy, Sharon is a highly skilled professional specializing in the treatment of complex trauma. Her extensive background encompasses program development, clinical supervision, training and child welfare, making her a versatile asset in the mental health community..  Sharon is a certified EMDR Therapist and an approved EMDR Consultant and Training Facilitator. She has undergone specialized training in MDMA Assisted Psychotherapy through MAPS, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy at the Polaris Insight Center, and Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy at the Psychedelic Somatic Institute. Additionally, she is recognized as an Adoption Competent Provider, bringing a unique perspective to her practice.

Her areas of interest include advanced training in supporting individuals affected by adoption, inter-racial families, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and those living with HIV/AIDS. Sharon is also passionate about the potential of Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy, integrating innovative approaches to enhance healing and personal growth..

Sharon Steckler, MSW, LCSW (she/her)

Joshua is a dedicated psychotherapist specializing in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), offering a comprehensive approach to healing and personal growth for both adults and youth.

With a keen interest in understanding the impact of trauma on the brain, Joshua is committed to addressing systemic racism, enhancing family dynamics, and supporting veterans on their journey to recovery. His compassionate and informed approach provides a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and work towards meaningful change.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Joshua enjoys a variety of hobbies, with a passion for sports and a newfound love for ballroom dancing.

Agi is a warm and compassionate bilingual counselor fluent in both Spanish and English, holding a Masters in Community Counseling and a rich background in Education. With a deep commitment to fostering personal growth, she offers a safe and empathetic space for individuals of all ages.

Agi believes in the importance of connection and understanding, particularly for those who are neuro-diverse navigating a neuro-typical world. She utilizes a holistic approach, integrating evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Ketamine Assisted Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. Currently, she is honing her skills as an apprentice at the Psychedelic Somatic Institute for Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy.

As the founder of The Balance Project, Agi is dedicated to improving access to mental health services within the community. Her passion for supporting individuals and families shines through in her work, making her an invaluable resource for anyone seeking to enhance their emotional well-being.
