Who I work with

How I work

Adoption, adoptees and inter-racial families

I'm recognized as an Adoption Competent Provider, and I have advanced training in supporting people affected by adoption and inter-racial families. Adoptees are often told they should feel grateful, which can make it hard to name the loss and the questions that come with adoption, even to themselves. It's one of the clearest examples of trauma people are told isn't trauma. I work with adult adoptees, transracial adoptees and adoptive families.

Ketamine-assisted therapy research

Alongside my practice, I worked with Agi Corona Semrad and colleagues at the clinic, two physicians and a nurse, on a pilot of ketamine-assisted therapy groups in a public urban HIV clinic, which I presented.

For therapists

I provide EMDR consultation toward EMDRIA certification, and supervise pre-licensed therapists. Therapists can also refer clients to us for ketamine-assisted sessions while continuing their own work with them. See our page for providers.
